Celebrating 10K Subs

Hello,

I want to share with you the happy news today that my YouTube channel has gained 10K subscribers! I can't thank you enough for your support and encouragement through the years. At the beginning of this year, I was asked what is my resolution, I said I just wanted to grow my YouTube channel and reach 10K subscribers. I want to be able to share more tutorials, tips, and tricks on sewing and quilting. It was not an easy journey especially when you work alone from ideation, recording to editing, and finally uploading the videos. But this is something I really enjoy doing and I hope to continue doing.

As a small token of appreciation, I'm giving a discount of 30% off on Patterns, 25% on Fabrics, and 20% off on Handmade Wallets.

Use the Coupons below when making the purchase on both ETSY and WEBSITE. Coupon Valid through Sunday, 22 October 2023.

Thank you so much once again for your continued support! Going forward, I hope to be able to share more tutorials regularly. Stay tuned!

Happy Sewing!

Handmade Happiness 02 - New Link Up Party

Hello and welcome to Handmade Happiness Link up Party.

In my first post of Handmade Happiness, the idea was to share some handmade items that are made using my pattern to give the maker more exposure. However I feel it was too limited. Hence the change of plan, which I hope will be able to give fellow crafters in India and worldwide a wider exposure. Especially one who just dip their toes in the world of mompreneur.

What is this linky party about?
This linky party is some  kind of show and tell party, whether you do it as a hobby or as a mompreneur.
Post anything handmade by you – not mass produced “handmade” please - which you recently completed and have not been shared in here. Your link can be from your:
  •  BLOG – do link up your blog if you have one , anything from new product   release to behind the scene story, tutorials, etc.
  • Facebook Page – New products from your FB business page.
  • Instagram – if you play more in Instagram, you are most welcome to share your latest creations.
  • Etsy Shop or other webshop - show off your latest listing.

How to Play:
  • Submit your link by clicking the blue button under each handmade happiness’ post. If you submit your blog post , please submit your BLOG POST URL and NOT the blog URL.
  • Visit some of the links that catch your eyes. Give them a comment or a heart to encourage them. Be generous.
  • If you don’t want to miss another link up post, it’d be great if you subscribe to my blog (form on the right panel).
  • Do share the Handmade Happiness post in your Social Media account, sharing is caring :)
**************

Let me start with what I've been up to the last couple of days. I'am excited with my new passport cover which I shared last week and on Sunday, when the boys were busy watching IPL (that's an Indian cricket league), I have plenty of time to play.

Owl Passport Covers
I found the Christmas owl in while I was sorting out my scrap boxes and thought of making a mug rug or maybe another cushion covers. The prints are quite big and of different sizes. So I decided to make the wallet instead.

Passport Covers

The previous day, I made those 3 wallets with fun prints - sewing notions, newspaper print and Eiffel Tower.  Sorting out fabrics always a great motivator for me. Well, it also brings surprises to see fabrics which I forgot I have LOL. Those wallets will be up in my Etsy and Webshop as soon as I finished editing them.

On a quilting side, I made the 4th block of the scrappy log cabin project I started a few weeks ago. This time, I make a little prep work (yay for me!). Cutting the green and black & white scraps into 1.5" wide strips before I started sewing. I need to really make an effort to do prep work!

Work in Progress

I love how they look happy together :D

That's all from me, now it's your turn to link up.

The Link up will run from Tuesday to Sunday Evening (India Standard Time ) so you will have a plenty of time to share you craft of the week.

Disclaimer:
By Linking up, you are giving me permission to share your links on social media and also on my blog features (if any in the future). Of course all the sharing from my part will always be properly linked up to your original post.

Thank you sharing your lovely works!

Oh Scrap

From The Holiday

I came back from Indonesia over a month back and I got some exciting experience this time.

#1. I met an Indonesian Crafter, Dini. She lives in my hometown in Malang - East Java. It was through FB that we became familiar with each other. So, one day she told me she'd come and visit me. I was all excited.

She gave me her lovely crocheted bookmarks. They are so beautiful that I don't think I will be able to use it without spoiling it. Thanks a lot Dini...we should meet again next time..

Aren't they lovely? *_*

# 2.  I met another Indonesian crafter who is very talented, Eka Yunita. I know her from Facebook and have been (secretly) admiring her works. She's into Felt Crafts and Applique/Patchwork and Quilting. All her quilts are hand-quilted. She's teaching Crafts in few places I guess. For more information you can visit her BLOG.

the bottom right one is my favorite. It's depiction of Indonesian wayang (puppet). All the detail works are so fabulous.

She published few craft books in Indonesia too and I bought one (before I met her). I found her shop quite coincident. I was roaming around the mall near the hotel, looking for a craft supply shop and when I saw her shop I was very thrilled. I asked the girl who sat there, and she told me the shop belong to Eka Yunita. I was so excited cos I want to buy the quilting stuff and I'd love to meet her in person. We met the following Tuesday. I thought of going to visit her again but somehow it didn't work out. Hopefully, we'll meet again next time...^_^

# 3.  I got a bunch of other crafts supplies, buttons and ribbons, and few fabrics too. I admit I have huge collections of fabric and some of them are available at the SHOP. My friend, Agnes, said I'm crazy...well, what can a girl do when those lovely prints fabrics screaming at her?? You know what I mean??
This is how my cupboard looks like after I rolled (wrapped) them into a cardboard. I should've done this before. I got the cardboards from my regular shop, they're selling fabric from trousers/suit. It's quite long (30") so, I cut them into 2 and wrap my fabric neatly. I must get few more next week.

So, that's it. Now I better get back to work :). Thanks for stopping by...
Happy Crafting
